Database Administrator

UNIQA Software-Service Bulgaria is a software development company. Working closely with UNIQA IT Services GmbH we are specialized in building enterprise applications for the insurance companies within UNIQA Group.

We are currently looking for a Database Administrator to join our growing UIP-Systemteam.

Your main responsibilities:

• Configure, and administer databases to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Monitor and fine-tune database systems to achieve efficient performance at the DBMS level.
• Analyze and resolve database issues, contributing to continuous system improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database reliability, integrity, and alignment with business needs.
• Design and implement SQL and PL/SQL solutions to meet internal operational requirements.
• Manage database security, including user access and permissions.
• Configure and maintain high availability systems to ensure uninterrupted database operations.
• Perform Linux/Unix system administration tasks specific to database environments.
• Build IaaC for oracle related services and components

Your qualification:

• Expertise in database migration projects, including cross-platform migrations.
• Hands-on experience with database performance testing.
• Proficiency in automation tools to streamline database management processes.
• Expertise in Linux/Unix system administration, particularly in database-centric environments.
• Understanding of database performance optimization and disaster recovery best practices.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Shell.

Educational Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or other equivalent technical discipline.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), ASM, and Active Data Guard.
