CMDB Expert

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Expert to maintain the accuracy and integrity of our core IT infrastructure. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our technology systems run smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you’ll manage configuration items (CIs), collaborate with teams, oversee CMDB processes, and ensure our database aligns with evolving business needs.

What You’ll Do

• CMDB Maintenance: Update, verify, and manage configuration items (CIs) throughout their lifecycle.
• Integration: Fully integrate CMDB (ServiceNow) with vulnerability scanning tools, threat intelligence data as well as criticality data coming from other internal tools
• Monitoring: Continuously monitor & evaluate the state of CMDB and relevance of the data on individual records/assets
• Interfaces: Ensure the UITS CMDB (ServiceNow) covering multiple UNIQA Group business units are well integrated with other existing tools such as vulnerability scanning tools or risk management GRC software, and seamlessly integrated relevant data on individual CMDB records/items.
• Collaboration: Work with IT teams to understand requirements and implement CMDB improvements.
• Auditing: Conduct regular audits to guarantee data accuracy within the CMDB.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to optimize CMDB functionality.
• Documentation: Develop concise technical documentation to support CMDB processes.

What You’ll Need

• Experience: Proven track record in maintaining a Configuration Management Database as well as integrating various data coming from multiple tools into single CMDB via API
• ITSM Understanding: Solid understanding of IT service management (ITSM) frameworks (ITIL a plus).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in CMDB tools (ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, etc.).
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively. Fluent in English (both spoken and written); German is nice to have
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to ensuring data accuracy.
