Your main responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and technical support for PEGA Platforms regarding PostgreSQL Databases
  • Optimization of PEGA related database options on linux systems
  • Installation and tuning of PostgreSQL DB in an high availability setup on linux
  • Define requirements and Rules for Operation of PostgreSQL DB in an Provider Environment
  • Development of infrastructure as code (IaC) & design infrastructure blueprints
  • Change, configuration, incident & problem management in context of an agile setup
  • Delivering input & metrics for SLA & Service Management (reports, improvements)
  • Suggesting platform improvements, recommending process improvements
  • Evaluate new technology options and vendor products
  • Develop, improve and maintain database monitoring
  • Develop and maintain access management for our teams
  • Support migration of MSSQL databases to postgres  databases

Your qualification: 

  • Background in Managing and Installation of PostgreSQL DB on premises
  • Knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL HA setups
  • Knowledge of MSSQL databases
  • Understanding of Linux based networking, common network protocols and services
  • Good understanding of Security standards & practices (TLS, certificates, encryption, IAM, …)
  • General Scripting & automation skills
  • Knowledge of usage of system monitoring/logging/metrics & creation of dashboards

Nice to have:

  • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services
  • Experience with container platforms (Azure,Openshift ) in production environment
  • Ability to analyze and resolve infrastructure, platform and application incidents
  • Knowledge with agile methodologies (DevSecOps, Kanban, Scrum, …)
  • Knowledge of Git based workflows & artefact repositories (JFrog Artifactory)
  • Development of Jenkins pipelines
  • Experience with PEGA platform operations
  • Experience as a DevOps Engineer in a 24×7 availability context, including automation & configuration management
