In this position, you will set up and maintain the technical environment of our digital products and services. You will be part of PEGA Application Operations team, responsible for deployments.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Operating and maintaining the PEGA Platform
  • Part of the PEGA Application Operations team
  • Deployment of applications in various system stages
  • JBoss Application Server operation and maintenance
  • Webserver operation and maintenance
  • Maintain Documentation of infrastructure and applications
  • Monitoring of infrastructure components and application performance
  • Involved in the design and capacity planning for achieving scalability
  • LifeCycle management
  • Change, configuration, incident & problem management

Your qualification: 

  • Strong background in Linux/Unix/Windows Administration
  • Knowledge on Database usage and administration for various projects: PostgreSQL, MSSQL
  • Experience in Tomcat Application Servers Administration
  • Experience in Apache webserver/JBoss EWS configuration
  • Solid knowledge and experience with  Redhat Linux 6,7,8
  • Solid knowledge on Windows Server 2008-2019
  • Experience with Virtualisation technologies (e.g. VMware ESXi)
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure, platform and application incidents
  • Solid understanding of Linux based networking, common network protocols and services
  • Good understanding of Security standards & practices (TLS, certificates, encryption, IAM)
  • Experienced usage of system monitoring/logging/metrics & creation of dashboards (Splunk, Dynatrace)
  • Strong team player
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

Nice to have:

  • Experience in JBoss Application Servers Administration
  • German language
